Reminders

Reminders…we all need them, right? I know I do.  My new Smash* journal is going to be exactly that…a book of reminders.

love words.  I would eat and breathe them if I could.  I like how the right words can make something once marred perfect again.  I love how they tell people your feelings, but they can also protect you.  The Bible says that the power of life and death is in the tongue.  I believe that.

Anyhow…when I went to Michael’s this weekend, I happened to look at the Michael’s app on my phone and was pleasantly surprised to see a 50% off one item coupon.  It’s normally 40% off one item.  Anyhow…I was just about to check out when my brain went back to the Smash* folio kit.  It’s normally $19.99 and I was having a horrible time justifying buying another one when my first one still isn’t completely full.  However, $9.99 for a new project/quote/reminder journal? I could do that.  Plus it has all these extra bits with it.  Check this out!

If you’ve bought anything from Smash* made by K&Company, you know that each of those accessories (not counting the journal itself) costs about $3.00 to $4.00 each.   My $10.00 purchase was definitely worth it.  Here are the goods all spread out.

This time around, picking which journal I wanted was a little trickier.  With them inside the large plastic pack, I couldn’t tell what pages where in the journal so it meant taking a risk.  Pink is my favorite color, so I decided to just go with it.  Plus, I loved all the accessories and it made me think the journal would surely go along with them.  It does.  The following, are some of my favorite pages.

I’m not usually a fan of floral papers, but these…just wow. I’m very impressed.  They make me feel happy. 🙂

Okay. It came with other nifty things too.  However, I’m going to just post a big collage or two of those things. I mean…this post is already photo heavy and I haven’t actually even started working in my new journal yet. Haha.

So…I hope your week is terrific and that you have a safe and blessed Halloween.  I’ll be dressed up for my job tomorrow (I work at a school) and then I’ll be handing out treats tomorrow night.  Hopefully I can make someone’s day a little bit brighter.  And who knows…maybe someone will come up with a quote to share with me along the way! 🙂

Until next time,
