Here are some more that I did. I’m having fun just sharing the images with you guys, but I will start trying to post the reason why I chose these particular verses.
Love to you all.
she was worth it.
I love this saying, and it’s how I feel today. I’m worth it!
As I face a challenge to become healthier at this time in my life, I have decided that I am worth it and I wanted to art journal a little. Between the two, this is what you get. 😉
This page was done using Dina Wakley paints, Dyan Reaveley’s Dylusions spray inks, Dina Wakley stencil for the dots, Dina Wakley stamp for the girl’s head and quote, and I made my own heart stencil using a small card from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology line and a exacto knife.
So very recently I went to Wichita Falls, Texas to Scrapbook N Such for a class (or four) with mixed media artist, Dina Wakley. I am IMPRESSED!!!
She taught us several things over the few days, and I made several pages for my art journal! I am so happy with what I’m learning.
Dina has a new line of media coming out very soon, and I’m really excited to be able to purchase it.
I bought the famous, and hard to get, Scribbly Birds stamp set and also some black gesso (what!!!?).
Here’s a little sampling of the pages I did during the classes.
Then tonight, I decided to try out the lovely black gesso. I’ve never used it before so I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. Here’s what I did.
First, I covered the two page spread with black gesso and let it dry.
Then I scraped on a few colors of acrylic paint. Next, I used DecoArt Dimensional Effects texture paste through a baroque stencil to create some texture.
Finally, I used white Staz On to stamp one of the images from the Scribbly Birds stamp set as well as one of the quotes.
I like it so far. 🙂 What do you think?
